AaaaAAAChooOOOO!
Oh no... do we really need to deal with allergies during a pandemic? I think we all may be a tad paranoid these days if anyone near us sneezes. Yet one more reason to keep wearing those double masks and social distancing. This issue is dedicated to allergies for people & dogs.
Allergies can be triggered from environmental factors, foods and substances. It is a tad easier for humans to figure out what causes their symptoms thanks to tests and common sense. (Well one could debate the common sense theory.)
Dogs may have allergy symptoms such as itching or skin issues due to their diet. Wheat, gluten, soy, by-products, chicken, eggs and dairy may cause extreme symptoms. You may need to eliminate foods from your dog's diet to determine what the cause is.
There are several factors involved when it comes to allergies. This e-letter would be an entire book if we covered all of them! (However there is an entire chapter on dealing with allergies for dogs in our book BARKOPAEDIA and our online class Holistic Dog. For humans with allergies or asthma I have just released a new online class. More details below.)
No matter what the cause, I always recommend taking Quercetin with Bromelain to help ease those symptoms and to avoid those foods or substances that may trigger allergies.
More about this below.
Wishing all a very peaceful and sneeze-free April!
