Happy Howl-O-Ween!

Greetings!

I hope everyone is staying safe, sane and healthy. It's Halloween season here in Salem MA. Best to fly in via your broomstick if you are visiting this year as there is no parking unless you have a note from the Good Witch of the Northeast.

Just wanted to update everyone on the latest scoop from Four Paws Acupuncture. The condensed version: We are temporarily closed, as I am currently still quarantining and hiding from most of humanity. We are working on a few options and new services that will be announced in the next few months.

Meanwhile, I have created several online classes and wrote a book on everything I recommend to my patients' owners. These include holistic tips, remedies, acupressure instructions & other recommendations to help ease your pet's pain, stress and common ailments. Thanks to all requesting a copy of our book, BARKOPAEDIA to give as gifts. Due to the pandemic, shipping costs and my quarantine, we do not have copies of the book here in-house. All books are shipped directly to you via Amazon or the publisher. This is a more reliable way to make sure your book arrives before the holiday madness.

Mercury retrograde has hit our 4 Paws Facebook page making it a challenge to post on a regular basis. (Not to mention FB is very unreliable these days!) Our tech-savy diva, Annie T and her pup Chi Chi will be taking over this task. 🙏 Thank you Annie!

October is Black Cat Awareness Month

October is Black Cat Awareness month due to the fact that many people worry that folks are going to do terrible things to black cats around Halloween. Please keep your cats indoors if possible, especially if you live in Salem MA.

Our resident indoor black cats wanted to wish everyone a safe and magical October & Halloween! We tried to photograph Nubi in his new bat costume however he decided that it was not in his best interest to cooperate!

Prepare for Halloween BOOMING!

Unfortunately, the City of Salem MA will be blasting fireworks on Sunday 10/31/21, Halloween evening at 10:30 pm. On behalf of every person, child or animal with anxiety, PTSD or fear of booms we send healing thoughts. Hopefully in the future we will have elected officials who have more common sense and are environmentally responsible.

Please keep your pets indoors, safe and calm. Here are a few natural remedies to ease anxiety & fear:

Swans at Parker River National Refuge

We were blessed to see at least a dozen or more swans with their young ones while visiting our favorite reserve over the past few weeks.

Swans mate for life and can live up to 70 years. They represent longevity, love, fidelity and purity. Swans look as if they appeared out of a fairy tale, however they can be quite fierce and will bite! They are so strong they can break a human's arm with their wings so please do not approach them.
